Legal Repercussions
In connection with the incident, the Currituck County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man named Porter Williamson, 57, from Chesapeake, Virginia. He was charged with resisting a public officer after he initially fled the scene but returned when officers began towing the vehicle. His next of kin, Rhonda Williamson, was also charged with the same offense.
