Born on May 21, 1970, Buddy was the son of Linda and Sammy Moore and the late Blaine Toler. He was a prominent figure in his community, known for his exceptional skills as a carpenter. Throughout his life, he contributed to various projects, from building custom birdhouses with his nephew to constructing million-dollar oceanfront homes.
His work included numerous personal projects that reflected his character, such as creating new stairs for a childhood friend, a sturdy deck for his sister, and special projects for his mother, including a flower box and a custom shower. His craftsmanship was characterized by meticulous attention to detail, gaining him a reputation that resonated deeply within the Outer Banks community.

The family held a visitation on July 3 from 6 PM to 8 PM at Twiford Funeral Home in Manteo. A graveside memorial service was conducted on July 5 at 11 AM at Austin Cemetery in Kitty Hawk. The service was officiated by Pastor Jamie Smith and Rodney Perry, who helped honor Buddy’s life and legacy. Twiford Funeral Homes facilitated the arrangements for the services.
