Frisco, NC – Early on the morning of July 23, 2024, residents of Frisco witnessed an intense police chase that ended with a dramatic arrest. The incident kicked off around 7:13 AM when a sharp-eyed deputy in the C-District spotted a vehicle parked at the Frisco Bath House. The vehicle belonged to a person with a couple of outstanding warrants, prompting the deputy to make contact.

The driver, who later turned out to be 60-year-old George Thomas King of Buxton, did not heed commands and instead sped off northbound on NC Highway 12. Following his arrest, King faced a major list of charges. Initially taken in for the two outstanding warrants for (M) Larceny, his charges grew significantly. He was also charged with (F) Flee/Elude with Motor Vehicle, (M) Resist, Delay and Obstruct (RDO), (M) Reckless Driving to Endanger, (M) Carry Concealed Weapon, and (M) Unsafe Tires. Following his arraignment, a judge set his bond at an astonishing $20,000 secured.
