Island Farm to Celebrate Roxanna the Cow’s Sweet Sixteen

On Friday, August 16 at 10:30 a.m., the town of Roanoke Island will be bustling with excitement as Island Farm hosts a special birthday bash for its beloved resident, Roxanna the Cow, affectionately known as Roxie. This cherished bovine has been a star at the farm since she arrived as a yearling in June 2009, capturing the hearts of both locals and visitors alike.
A Fun Celebration for All
The celebration will offer visitors a chance to engage in fun activities like making paper hats and getting up close with Roxie herself. Guests can bring treats such as cucumbers, watermelon, and sweet potatoes to share with the celebrated cow.
