Authorities identified the driver as Porter Williamson, a 57-year-old man from Chesapeake. He was charged with resisting, delaying, and obstructing law enforcement (RDO) and issued a bond of $10,000. Reports also indicate that as deputies approached him while towing the UTV, he attempted to flee but was apprehended shortly thereafter.
Second Charge for False Information
The sheriff’s office also charged Rhonda Williamson, aged 62, with RDO for providing false information to the police. She received a bond of $5,000 in connection to the case. The specific relationship between Porter and Rhonda was not disclosed.
