Priscilla Rae McComb, aged 83, of Mystic, CT, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at her home on Thursday, September 4, 2025. Born on September 9, 1941, in Poughkeepsie, New York, she was the daughter of Raymond Hawley, Sr. and Eleanor Meddaugh Hawley, who both predeceased her.
Priscilla was a devoted homemaker, wife, and loving mother. She was married to Dennis McComb, Sr. for 61 years until his passing, and together they raised five children. Priscilla is survived by one son, Dennis C. McComb, Jr., and two daughters, Virginia R. McAliney and Marjorie M. Muggleston. Additionally, she leaves behind two other daughters, Mary J. Donnell and Colin P. McComb.
She is also survived by several siblings including Kathy Hobson, Doris Hawley, Barbara Hansen, Raymond Hawley, Jr., Susan Miller, and Marguerite Mergentheur. The family includes 19 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, although she was predeceased by a grandson, David McComb, and a great-grandchild, Ender Shirley.
Priscilla recently relocated to Mystic to reside at Masonicare. Prior to this, she lived in various regions including the Outer Banks, NC, and Rotunda West, FL. She was an active member of the Catholic community, having affiliations with both St. Mary’s Church in Poughkeepsie and St. Francis of Assisi Church in Florida.
